“Telling Your Story to Accelerate LGBTQ Acceptance”

Participants will learn how to reach and teach the movable middle about the LGBTQ community through your art, your audience, and your story. We’ll discuss how to tell your stories in traditional, online, and social media platforms. This workshop is informed by 30 years of media advocacy from GLAAD.

Joy Kolaitis directs and Anna Goula performs a selection of songs and poems for TQAF. Both Joy Kolaitis and Anna Goula will perform with a piano, not in front of a ‘present’ audience, but in a music studio with cameras for a live-streamed show. “Let’s embrace the new attempts for sharing art and communication against isolation and loneliness.”

I Broke the Vase (Eva Matsigkou, Nefeli Sani) are a female duo that create musical performances. 

“We make small rituals that are linked to our music, but also to our spiritual and bodily pursuits. We apply processes, such as deep listening, sound exploration, free improvisation, phonetic expression, speech, composition, site-specific projects and anything else that can contribute to the desired result, trying to overcome the barriers of censorship and musical and/or social stereotypes.”
