Zine Workshop
Zine Workshop with Asparagus Plumosa
21 June | 12:00-16:00 | Facta Non Verba
A workshop about zine making, linking this craft with queer identity. The zine is created in order to share ideas and feelings and to be shared with others.
The first part of this workshop will focus on what a zine is, what it means to us and how we can use it as a medium. We will then each create our own personal zine. And finally, once all zines are ready, they will be scanned, printed and taken on a journey into the city, where we will be able to leave them in various places, spaces and shared amongst the crowds.
No previous experience in making zines is required; only your imagination and creativity!
We will provide you with all materials (including paper, scissors, markers, paints, and old prints/newspapers for collages), but if you wish to bring your own materials, you are more than welcome to!
Asparagus Plumosa has attempted to uncover what medium represents her best. Drawing? Poetry? Photography? She soon discovered that making zines combined all of the above and more. Asparagus Plumosa lives and works in Thessaloniki, Greece.
