KS Brewer’s interdisciplinary work integrates time-based technologies into sculptures and installations in order to translate the individual impacts and sociocultural sources of trauma into experiential, multi-sensory art. Combining her extensive cross-cultural study of the psychology, neurology, and politics of trauma with historical and contemporary depictions of women, she manipulates her mediums in interactive and immersive ways in order to provoke an emotional reaction in participants. Past works include audio-visual installations, animatronic sculptures, and live action and stop motion videos.
