Love and Sarah Kane
Following the Open Call for the Thessaloniki Queer Arts Festival 2019, we felt the need and the wish to support the festival through our participation. Using theatre as our main tool and medium of expression, and through years of experience and research on theatre’s sociopolitical dimensions, we are interested in highlighting and examining ‘being different’ in love. Our proposal regards an experiential seminar that will examine the differences between us when it comes to love. Using improvisation and the liberation of speech and body through freedom of movement. Selected works by Sarah Kane and original texts that might come up during the seminar are chosen as the creative inspirations behind this activity. The goal is that all participants will get the opportunity to explore, express and communicate their thoughts through collective creation, which is one of the main pillars of our group.
The seminar will finish with a small presentation, in order to further showcase our extroverted approach.
